Alright, let’s talk about this place, 6262 Virgo Road. I heard folks sayin’ it’s in Oakland, California. Don’t know much about Oakland, but I reckon it’s a big city, lots of hustle and bustle, ya know?
Now, this house, they tell me it’s a big one. 2,696 square feet, they say. That’s a whole lotta space! I’m tryin’ to picture it, you know? Probably got enough room to swing a cat, maybe even two! Heck, you could probably get lost in there if you ain’t careful.
They built it back in 1994. That’s… let me think… quite a few years ago now. I remember 1994, it was the year… well, never mind that. Point is, it ain’t a brand-new place, but it ain’t ancient neither. Probably seen a thing or two, that house has.
- It’s got 3 bedrooms. That’s enough for a whole family, and then some. You could have kids in one room, grandkids in another, and still have a spare for when your cousin Mildred comes to visit, the one who always brings that awful fruitcake.
- And 3 bathrooms! Imagine that! No more fightin’ over the toilet in the mornin’! You could soak in the tub all day long if you wanted, though I don’t know why anyone would wanna do that. Water’s expensive these days.
Now, the price… that’s where things get a little tricky. I heard tell it was listed for $1,295,000. That’s a whole lotta money! I ain’t never seen that much money in my life. You could buy a whole lotta chickens with that kind of cash, let me tell ya. Or maybe a few good tractors.
But then I heard it sold for $1,775,000! Can you believe that? Someone paid even more than they were askin’! Must be a real nice place, I guess. Or maybe those city folks just got more money than sense.
They call it a Single-Family Home. That means it’s just for one family, not like them apartment buildings where everyone’s crammed in together like sardines. I like that idea. A little bit of space, a little bit of privacy. That’s what a body needs.

The lot’s pretty big too, they say. 12,393 square feet. That’s more than a quarter acre! You could have a garden, maybe some chickens, even a little goat if you were so inclined. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and play, that’s for sure.
This “Merriwood” place, where the house is located, I don’t know nothin’ about it. Sounds fancy, though. Probably got nice neighbors, maybe a park nearby. I hope they got a good grocery store, that’s important. Can’t be livin’ off of nothin’ but air and sunshine, ya know.
They also talk about something called an “MLS number”, EB41061909 they call it. Sounds like somethin’ the government uses. And somethin’ about it bein’ active. I guess that means it’s on the market, ready to be bought. Though, I thought they already sold it for a whole lot of money, so who knows what that means? City folks and their fancy ways, I tell ya.
And this “480 dollars per square foot”, that just sounds like a whole lot of money for nothin’. Back in my day, you could buy a whole acre of land for that kinda cash. Times sure have changed.
So, that’s about all I know about 6262 Virgo Road. Big house, big lot, big price. Sounds like a nice place for someone with deep pockets. Me? I’ll stick to my little place in the country. It ain’t fancy, but it’s home.
