So, I decided to try this whole astrology thing out, just for kicks. Picked “Sagittarius with Cancer ascendant” ’cause that’s what some online calculator told me I was. It sounded kinda cool, so I went with it.
First off, I started by browsing a ton of websites about what these signs mean. It was a lot of, like, “you’re adventurous but also sensitive” type stuff. I spent a whole afternoon just reading through these descriptions, trying to see if any of it felt right. For example, some said, “Sagittarius sun Cancer rising implicates and how this interesting combination impacts your life.”
Then, I tried to match these traits with my own life. I made a list of things I like and don’t like, and compared them with the traits mentioned. For example, I love going out and trying new things, that’s the “Sagittarius” part, I guess. But I also really value my close friends and like chilling at home, which they said was the “Cancer” part. And, “Cancer rising signs are often drawn to fellow water signs like Scorpio and Pisces.” So I also start to observe my friends, most of them are Scorpio and Pisces.

I started writing down my daily activities and how I felt about them. Like, one day I went hiking (Sagittarius, right?), but then I spent the evening curled up with a book, which felt very Cancer-y.
