Alright, so today I’m gonna share with y’all my little experiment with candle divination. I’ve always been curious about this kind of stuff, you know, getting a little peek into what’s going on beyond the surface. So, I figured, why not give it a shot?
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to get myself a candle. I picked up a simple white one, ’cause I read somewhere that white candles are good for purity and peace, and honestly, I could use a bit of both in my life right now. I also made sure the room was quiet and I wouldn’t be disturbed. No drafts, no noisy kids, just me and the candle.
Setting the Mood
Next, I lit the candle and just sat there for a few minutes. I tried to clear my mind, which is, like, way harder than it sounds. But eventually, I got to a point where I felt pretty relaxed and focused on the flame. I didn’t have any specific questions in mind, I just wanted to see what the candle might have to tell me.
Watching the Flame
Now, this is where it got interesting. I started paying attention to how the candle was burning. I’d read that the way the flame moves can mean different things. Mine was burning pretty steady, which I guess is a good sign. It wasn’t flickering too much, which I took to mean that things are relatively stable in my life right now.
But then I noticed something else. The flame started making these little crackling sounds. It wasn’t loud, but it was definitely there. So I remembered reading that if a candle is hissing, sizzling, crackling, or popping, it means a spirit or something is trying to communicate. The louder it is, the closer they are. I have to admit, that gave me a bit of a chill, but it was also kind of exciting.
Melting the Wax
Besides the flame, I also watched the wax. They say you can read the patterns in the melted wax, kind of like reading tea leaves. Mine just kind of melted normally, no weird shapes or anything, so I guess there wasn’t much to interpret there.

Wrapping Up
After a while, I decided to blow out the candle. I felt like I’d gotten what I needed from the session. I can’t say I got any earth-shattering revelations, but it was definitely an interesting experience. It made me feel more connected to something bigger than myself, you know?
The sound of crackling flame was louder than before, which means that the spirit is around me. I was a little afraid at that time, but now I am excited to try again.
Final Thoughts
So, would I do it again? Probably. It was a cool way to spend an evening, and it got me thinking about things in a different way. I’m not sure if I totally buy into all the interpretations and stuff, but I do think there’s something to be said for taking some time to just be quiet and reflect. And hey, if a spirit or two wants to chime in, who am I to stop them?
- I chose a white candle for purity.
- I focused on the steady flame.
- I heard crackling sounds from the flame.
- I felt a connection to something bigger.
- I will try this candle divination again.
