Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna talk about some things, stars and heaven and such. Don’t rightly know all the fancy words, but I’ll tell ya what I know.
The Bible, yeah, that book, talks about stars a whole bunch. Says God made ’em. The stars, they ain’t just pretty lights, they tell stories, or so they say. They call ’em constellations. Fancy word, huh? Means a bunch of stars makin’ a picture, like a crab, or a bear, or whatever.
Now, this Cancer thing, that’s one of them star pictures. A crab, they say. Big ol’ crab, fightin’ some fella named Hercules. Don’t know much about him, but the crab, well, that’s in the sky. The Bible, it mentions these star pictures too. Says God made ’em, put ’em up there for a reason.
- Maybe to show us how big and powerful He is.
- Maybe to tell us stories, like I said.
- Maybe just ’cause they look pretty. Who knows?
The Bible talks about “heaven” a lot. It’s where God lives, they say. A good place, full of light and love. Some folks say there’s a “portal to heaven”. Like a door, I guess, a way to get there. Don’t rightly know if that’s true, but it’s a nice thought, ain’t it?
Now, there’s some folks who look at the stars and try to tell the future. Astrology, they call it. Don’t hold with that myself. The Bible says God’s in charge, not the stars. He knows what’s gonna happen, and that’s good enough for me.

The Bible also talks about times when the stars won’t shine no more. Scary stuff, right? Says the sun’ll go dark, and the moon too. Makes you think, don’t it? Makes you think about what’s important. God, family, love. That’s what matters. Not some ol’ crab in the sky or tryin’ to guess what tomorrow brings.
Some verses in the Bible talk about God guiding the stars, telling them where to go. He’s in control, see? He made it all, and He keeps it all goin’. That’s a comfort, to know someone’s in charge, especially when things get tough. And they do get tough, don’t they? Life’s hard, always has been, always will be. But you keep on keepin’ on, you know? You trust in God, and you do your best. That’s all you can do.
They say those stars, they “declare God’s glory.” Fancy way of sayin’ they show off how great God is. And I reckon they do. You look up at the night sky, all them stars twinklin’, and you just gotta feel somethin’. Awe, they call it. Or maybe just plain wonder. It’s somethin’ bigger than us, that’s for sure.
So, this Cancer constellation, it’s just one little piece of the puzzle. One little star picture in a sky full of ’em. And the Bible, it tells us who made them stars, and who’s in charge of it all. And that “portal to heaven,” well, maybe it’s just a way of talkin’ about gettin’ close to God. Through prayer, through kindness, through lovin’ each other. That’s the real heaven, ain’t it? Right here, right now, when we’re good to each other and tryin’ to do what’s right. And that’s the truth, plain and simple, like a good cup of coffee on a cold mornin’.
Don’t go chasin’ after star signs and such. Look to the one who made the stars. That’s what the Bible tells us, and that’s good enough for me. Now, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about stars and heaven made me hungry.
