Well, hello there, everyone! Today, we’re gonna yak about somethin’ colorful, somethin’ shiny – the birthstone color for them Sagittarius folks. You know, the ones born ’round Thanksgiving time, always shootin’ for the stars, or so they say.
Now, I ain’t no fancy astrologer or nothin’, but I heard tell that Sagittarius got a few stones they can call their own. The main one, the one everybody talks about, is turquoise. Yeah, that blue-green rock, looks like the sky on a clear summer day, or maybe a little bit like that robin’s egg I found last spring. It’s a real pretty color, kinda calming, you know?
But it ain’t just turquoise, no sirree! These Sagittarius people, they got options, like pickin’ apples at the market! I’ve heard some folks sayin’ somethin’ about blue topaz. Now, that’s a blue that’ll knock your socks off! Like lookin’ into the deep end of a swimmin’ pool, all sparkly and bright. It’s a bit fancier than turquoise, I reckon, but just as purdy.
- Turquoise – That blue-green one, like the sky.
- Blue Topaz – A real bright, sparkly blue.
- Amethyst – That purple one, kinda like grapes.
- Yellow Sapphire – A yellow one, shiny like the sun.
And then there’s amethyst. That’s a purple stone, the color of them grapes growin’ on the vine in my backyard. A little bit mysterious, that color. Makes you think of magic and all that hocus pocus, though I don’t hold with such things myself. But it’s a nice color, nonetheless, and some folks born under that Sagittarius sign, they claim it as their own.
Oh, and I almost forgot! There’s another one, a yellow sapphire. Now, that one’s like sunshine in a rock! Bright and cheerful, makes you wanna smile just lookin’ at it. It ain’t as common as the turquoise, I don’t think, but it’s powerful, they say. Brings good luck and all that. Not that I believe in luck, mind you. Hard work and a good heart, that’s what gets you through life, that’s what I always say.
So, there you have it. Sagittarius, they got a whole rainbow of colors to choose from. Turquoise, that’s the main one, the one everybody knows. But they also got that bright blue topaz, the mysterious amethyst, and that sunny yellow sapphire. Pick your favorite, I say. It’s all the same in the end, just pretty rocks to look at and maybe, just maybe, bring a little bit of sparkle into your life.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ that just because you wear a certain color, your life’s gonna change overnight. It don’t work that way. Life’s hard work, like I said before. But sometimes, it’s nice to have somethin’ pretty to look at, somethin’ that reminds you of the good things in life. And if that somethin’ pretty happens to be a birthstone, well, all the better, I say. All the better.

And maybe, just maybe, they got a little bit of that Sagittarius spirit in ’em, always shootin’ for the stars.
