Okay, so I’ve been getting into divination lately, and I decided to try using stones. I’d heard it was a thing, so I figured, why not? I’m all about exploring different ways to tap into, you know, the universe’s vibes.
Getting Started
First, I needed some stones. I didn’t want to get anything fancy, so I just grabbed some that I found to look pretty and also that I have at home. I’ve heard about “apatite, iolite, azurite, sodalite, and amethyst.” are the best, but I think it doesn’t that important for the first time, I just want to get a try!
The Actual Process
I cleansed the stones first. I just held them under running water for a bit and imagined all the built up and old energy being washed away. I don’t know if it’s necessary, but it felt right.
- Then, I sat down in a quiet spot, held the stones in my hands, and tried to clear my mind. Which, let me tell you, is harder than it sounds. My brain is always going a mile a minute.
- I closed my eyes and focused on my breathing for a few minutes. Deep breaths in, deep breaths out.
- After I felt somewhat centered, I asked my question. I kept it simple: “What should I focus on this week?” I’m trying not to get too ambitious with these things.
- Then, I kind of… shook the stones in my hands and let them fall onto the table. The way they landed and the patterns they formed, that’s supposed to be the answer.
Figuring Out the Answer
This is where it got a little tricky. Interpreting the stones is NOT as easy. I looked at how they were clustered, which ones were touching, which ones were far apart. I even tried to see if they formed any recognizable shapes.
Honestly, I kind of had to go with my gut. Two stones were close together, and they seemed to represent “creativity” and “connection” to me. Another stone was off by itself, and I felt like that meant “isolation” or maybe “taking a break.”
My Takeaway
So, my interpretation was that I should focus on creative projects and connecting with people, but also make sure to give myself some alone time. It’s a balance, right?

I’m not saying this is a perfect system, or that I’m suddenly a divination expert. But it was a cool experience. It made me think about my question in a different way, and I did feel like I got some kind of guidance. I’ll definitely be trying this again!
