Okay, so I wanted to make a flyer for a Sagittarius-themed party. I’ve got a friend who’s super into astrology, and her birthday’s coming up, so I thought, why not?
Getting Started
First, I needed some inspiration. I just started by looking up “Sagittarius” and “party flyers” to see what other people had done. I saw a lot of purples, blues, and starry backgrounds. Many of them had pictures of bows and arrows, or centaurs. I took note of this. I’m not a graphic designer, so I figured keeping it simple was the best idea.
Choosing the Tools
I don’t have fancy design software, Because my budget is limited. so I decided to design it on free software. It’s pretty user-friendly, even for someone like me who’s, let’s just say, not very tech-savvy.
The Design Process
I started with the background. I found a cool picture of a night sky with lots of stars, It had some nice purples and blues in it, perfect Sagittarius colors! I uploaded that as the base for my flyer.
Next, I added some text. I used a bold, easy-to-read font for the main heading: “Sagittarius Party!”. Underneath, I put the date, time, and location in a smaller, but still clear, font. I played around with the colors of the text until I found something that popped against the starry background. A bright, almost neon, blue seemed to work well.
Then came the fun part: adding some Sagittarius symbols. I didn’t want to overdo it, so I chose a simple image of a bow and arrow.I put this at the bottom of the flyer. I kept it small and simple to be elegant.

- I messed around with the layout a bit, moving the text and the image around until it looked balanced.
- I made sure everything was aligned properly, nothing looked wonky.
- I checked the text is perfect, including the spelling, case, etc.
The Final Touches
Once I was happy with the overall design, I added a few final touches. I added a star in the background to make it look a little more polished. And that was it!
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially considering I’m not a designer. It’s simple, eye-catching, and definitely gets the Sagittarius theme across. Now, I just need to send it to my friend and get ready to party!
