Well, let me tell you about this Dr. John Gray fella and his astrology stuff. I ain’t no scholar, mind you, just a plain old woman, but I’ve heard some things.
Dr. John Gray, huh? Seems like he knows a lot about men and women, how they get along, or don’t get along, you know? He wrote this book, “Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus.” Sounds fancy, but it just means men and women are different, like day and night.
Now, this astrology thing, it’s like a map of the stars when you were born. They say it tells you about yourself. Like, are you gonna be a grumpy old goat or a happy-go-lucky chicken? I don’t know much about it, but folks say Dr. Gray uses it, looks at those star charts.
He talks about planets and stuff. Says they line up in different ways. Like, sometimes they’re close together, that’s called a “conjunction”, they say. Sometimes they’re far apart, like they’re looking at each other, that’s an “opposition”, I think. And there are other angles too, like “square” and “trine.” Sounds like building a house, not looking at stars, if you ask me. But they say it matters, these angles. They say it affects how you are, what you do.
- Conjunction (0 degrees): Planets all bunched up together.
- Opposition (180 degrees): Planets staring each other down.
- Square (90 degrees): Planets kinda grumpy at each other, I guess.
- Trine (120 degrees): Planets getting along real nice.
Then there’s this “house” thing. Dr. Gray, he talks about the 6th House. That’s the house of work and how you live your life, day to day. Not the fancy house you live in, but somethin’ in that star map. It ain’t about what other people see, like your fancy clothes or your big car, no sir. It’s about how you feel inside, you know? Like, do you wake up feeling like a rooster ready to crow, or a tired old dog who just wants to lie in the sun? That’s what that 6th House tells you, or so they say.
And sometimes, those planets, they make a big cross in the sky, a “Grand Cross” they call it. Rare thing, that is. Means big trouble, maybe, or big changes. Four planets all lined up in a square, like they’re having a big argument. I don’t know, sounds complicated to me.

Dr. Gray, he uses all this star stuff to help people understand each other better. Men and women, they’re different, like I said. Hormones and all that. Dr. Gray, he knows about that too. He says men and women, they got different chemicals in their bodies, makes them act different ways. Like, a man might get mad easy, and a woman might cry easy. It’s just nature, he says.
He teaches folks how to talk to each other, how to listen. He’s been doin’ it for years, this Dr. Gray. Lots of folks listen to him, read his books. They say he’s helped a lot of couples get along better. He helps them understand why they fight, why they don’t understand each other. He even tells you to write letters, called “feeling letters” I think, to figure out your own feelings, and what you want.
So, this Dr. John Gray, he’s got his books, he’s got his seminars, and he’s got his astrology. He uses it all to help folks with their relationships, to make them better, happier. I don’t know if it works for everyone, but people seem to like him. He’s been at it for a long time, so I guess he must be doin’ something right.
In the end, it’s all about getting along, ain’t it? Whether you look at the stars or not, whether you read Dr. Gray’s books or not, you gotta learn to live with other people. And that ain’t always easy. But maybe, just maybe, Dr. Gray and his astrology can help a little. It’s worth a try, I reckon.
Anyways, that’s what I’ve heard about this Dr. John Gray and his astrology. Take it with a grain of salt, you know? Like I said, I’m just a plain old woman. But sometimes, plain old women know a thing or two.
