So, I’ve been on this whole fragrance journey lately, right? Trying to find something that just, you know, clicks. A buddy of mine mentioned something called “Aquarius Cologne,” said it was kinda like that Acqua di Gio stuff. Sounded interesting, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I went hunting for this thing. Turns out, it’s not exactly everywhere. I did some digging online, found a few different versions. One was called “Aquarius Black,” seemed to have a strong, ocean-y kind of vibe. Another was from Mirage Brands, said it was inspired by some fancy designer scent. I just wanted to try, see if any of these are the real deal.
I ended up ordering a couple of different ones. I mean, they weren’t super expensive, so it was worth it. When they arrived, I gotta say, the bottles were pretty basic. Nothing fancy, just your standard spray bottles. But hey, it’s the juice inside that counts, right?
I started with the “Aquarius Black.” Sprayed a bit on my wrist, took a whiff. It was definitely…intense. Kind of like a mix of the sea and some spices. Not bad, but not really my everyday style. It reminded me a bit of the time when I was walking on the beach, and the fresh wind blew across my face. Then I moved on to the Mirage Brands one. This one was lighter, a bit sweeter. I could smell some fruity notes in there, maybe some flowers too. It was pleasant, but it didn’t really stand out, you know?
I wore each of them for a few days, tried to get a feel for how they lasted. The “Aquarius Black” was pretty strong, stuck around for most of the day. The other one faded a bit quicker. Got a few comments, mostly people saying I smelled “nice” or “fresh.” Nothing too specific, though.
After trying them out, honestly, I don’t think either of them are gonna be my new signature scent. They were okay, but nothing that really blew me away. It’s kinda like when you try a new restaurant everyone’s been talking about, and it’s just…fine. Not bad, but not worth the hype, I guess. I did not even think they were worth the price even if they were cheap.

But hey, that’s the fun of trying new things, right? You win some, you lose some. I’m still on the hunt for that perfect cologne, but at least I can cross “Aquarius Cologne” off my list. Maybe I should take a look at the one from Elon Musk or Johnny Depp, since they were also mentioned when I searched for this Aquarius Cologne. But then again, this is about Aquarius Cologne.
- Lesson learned: Don’t always believe the hype, even if it’s from a buddy.
- Next step: Keep searching! Maybe try some of those fancy designer brands next.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with Aquarius Cologne. Hope it was at least a little bit entertaining. If anyone else has tried this stuff, let me know what you thought! Always up for hearing other people’s experiences.
