Okay, here’s my blog post about my “aquarius pisces tattoo” experience:
So, I’ve been thinking about getting a new tattoo for a while now. I’m a Pisces, but I’ve always felt a strong connection to Aquarius energy too – maybe it’s my quirky side! I wanted something that represented both, but not in an obvious, super-literal way. I started by, you know, just messing around online, looking at pictures.
Brainstorming and Sketching
First, I gathered a bunch of images. I looked at traditional Pisces fish, Aquarius water bearer symbols, and a ton of abstract art. I even looked at pictures of constellations. I saved everything that caught my eye, even if it was just a tiny detail or a color I liked.
Then, I started sketching. I’m no artist, mind you, but I can doodle! I tried combining the two zodiac symbols in different ways. I played with the idea of two fish forming a kind of infinity symbol, maybe with a water-like flow connecting them. I also experimented with incorporating the Aquarius glyph (those wavy lines) into the fish scales or the overall design.
Finding an Artist
This part was crucial. I knew I needed an artist who understood my vision and wasn’t afraid to get creative. I spent hours scrolling through Instagram, looking at portfolios. I focused on artists who specialized in watercolor styles, fine-line work, or abstract designs. These styles felt like the best fit for what I wanted. I found one that I really liked, checked their social medias, and I felt like they can definetly do it!
- I checked their reviews. Always a good idea!
- I made sure they had experience with similar designs.
- I looked for clean lines and good color work in their previous tattoos.
I finally found an artist whose style I loved. We had a consultation, and I showed her my messy sketches and inspiration images. She listened to my ideas and offered some great suggestions. We bounced ideas back and forth until we came up with a concept we both loved.

The Tattooing Process
On the day of the appointment, I was so excited (and a little nervous!). The artist showed me the final design, and it was perfect! It was a beautiful, flowing design with two stylized fish intertwined, with subtle hints of the Aquarius water bearer in the way the water flowed around them.
I chose to put it on my upper back, just below my neck. It felt like the right placement for this particular design.
The actual tattooing took a few hours. It wasn’t too painful, more like a constant scratching sensation. The artist was super professional and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process.
The Final Result
I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! It’s exactly what I wanted – a unique and personal representation of my astrological identity. It’s subtle, elegant, and meaningful to me. It’s my permenant self-expression. I love it!
