Alright, so I’ve been wanting to make a Hello Kitty-themed gift for my niece, who’s a huge fan and also an Aries. I thought, why not combine the two? So, I started looking for ideas and materials online.
First, I searched for some “Hello Kitty Aries” designs. I found some cool T-shirts and hoodies on Amazon, but I wanted to make something more personal. Then I stumbled upon these awesome Hello Kitty zodiac plushies. They had Kitty dressed up in different zodiac costumes, which was a pretty neat idea!
I decided to make a custom Hello Kitty Aries plush. I grabbed a plain Hello Kitty plush from my local store, since I didn’t find one from Amazon that I specifically needed. It’s the exclusive one from Jazwares that has 5 colors and twinkle sounds, pretty cool right? I also picked up some felt, yarn, and other crafting supplies. For Aries, I needed some white and red felt for the horns and some fluffy yarn for the wool.
I started by cutting out the horn shapes from the white felt and sewing them together. Then, I carefully attached them to Hello Kitty’s head. It was a bit tricky to get them to stand upright, but I managed. Next, I used the red felt to create a small cape, just like the one I saw on the official Aries plush.
For the wooly look, I wrapped some white fluffy yarn around a piece of cardboard, cut it on one side, and then tied it together in the middle. I made a bunch of these little yarn bundles and sewed them onto the plush to give it that Aries-like fluffy appearance. I also made a small ram staff that I can attach to Hello Kitty’s paw from the images I found. I used brown, hard felt, and gold wrapping paper, to make it look like the staff in the images.
- Materials Used:
- Plain Hello Kitty plush
- White and red felt
- Fluffy white yarn
- Needle and thread
- Brown, hard felt
- Gold wrapping paper
- Hot glue gun (for extra security)
It took me a few hours, but I finally finished my custom Hello Kitty Aries plush! It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I added some extra touches, like a little bell on the cape and some glitter on the horns to make it sparkle.

I can’t wait to give it to my niece. I’m sure she’ll love it! This was a fun little project, and it’s always satisfying to create something handmade. Plus, it’s way more personal than just buying something from the store. I might try making other zodiac-themed Hello Kitty plushies in the future. Maybe a Gemini one for myself since the Little Twin Stars are meant to represent them!
