Today, I started a little project that I’ve been thinking about for a while – creating some “Aquarius” themed art.
I grabbed my sketchbook and pencils and began by looking up some references. I found out that Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac, and it’s represented by the water-bearer. The internet said people born under this sign are supposed to be original and like to try new things. That’s cool, I guess.
Brainstorming
I decided to brainstorm some ideas. I thought about what comes to my mind when I hear “Aquarius.” Water, obviously, but also maybe stars, the night sky, and someone pouring water from a jug. I scribbled down some rough sketches in my book – a figure pouring water, some wavy lines to represent water, and a few stars scattered around.
Experimenting
Next, I wanted to play around with different styles. I tried a realistic approach for the figure, then I doodled a more abstract version with flowing lines and shapes. I even attempted a simple, cartoon-like drawing just for fun. It was a mess, but a fun mess!
- Tried realistic style
- Experimented with abstract shapes
- Doodled a cartoon version
Adding Colors
Once I had a few sketches I liked, I moved on to colors. I figured blues and purples would be good choices since they remind me of water and the night sky. I used some watercolors for one sketch, colored pencils for another, and even tried digital painting on my tablet for a third one. Each medium gave a different vibe, which was pretty neat.
Sharing with Others
I was kinda proud of what I made, so I decided to share it online, you know, and some friends. It was cool to see their reactions and get some feedback. Some people really liked the abstract one, while others preferred the more realistic approach.

Overall, it was a fun day of experimenting and creating. I’m no professional artist, but I enjoyed the process of bringing my “Aquarius” art ideas to life. Maybe I’ll do more of these zodiac-themed projects in the future. Who knows!
