Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now, and since I’m an Aries, I thought, why not go with that? I mean, it’s my zodiac sign, and I kinda dig the whole ram symbolism.
First off, I started looking around to see what kind of Aries tattoos guys usually get. I jumped online, just browsing through images, you know, to get some inspiration. There are tons of them! Some are really detailed, with the ram’s head looking super realistic, and others are more simple, just the Aries symbol.
I spent a good few hours just scrolling, saving the ones I liked. I noticed a lot of guys go for black ink, which I think looks pretty cool. It’s like, bold and stands out, you know? Some tattoos were just outlines, while others were filled in. I personally leaned towards the filled-in ones, they seem more solid and, I don’t know, more complete.
Then I started thinking about where to put it. I saw some guys had it on their upper back, which looks awesome, but I’m not sure if I’m ready for something that big yet. Others had it on their arms, which is also cool, but maybe a bit too common? I kinda wanted something unique.
- I kept browsing and found some designs where the ram was incorporated into other stuff, like patterns or even combined with other symbols.
- There was this one design that really caught my eye. It was a skeletal ram’s head, but it was inside this crazy, intricate pattern of curves.
- It looked so different, you know? Not just your usual ram tattoo.
Decisions and Design
After a lot of back and forth, I decided I wanted something similar to that skeletal ram design. But I also wanted to add my own touch to it, make it more personal. So, I started sketching a bit, just messing around with the design, trying to figure out what I could add or change.
I thought about maybe adding some color, but then I figured, nah, black ink is the way to go. It’s just more my style, I guess. I also played around with the idea of adding the Aries constellation somewhere in the design, but it ended up looking too cluttered.

Finally, after what felt like forever, I came up with a design I was happy with. It’s still a skeletal ram’s head, but with a few tweaks to the pattern around it. I also added a small Aries symbol just below the ram’s chin, kind of like a signature, you know?.
I know one tattoo artist, and I showed it to him, and he said it was doable. I have already made an appointment to do it next month.
Man, I’m so excited about this! It’s gonna be my first tattoo, and I think it’s gonna be awesome. I’ll definitely share a picture once it’s done. Stay tuned!
