Okay, so today I decided to dive into this whole astrology thing, and let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole! I started with my own chart, using this “Cancer Sun, Libra Moon, Libra Rising” as a kind of guide. I’ve always been a bit curious about this stuff, so I figured, why not?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my birth date, time, and place. Apparently, that’s super important for getting an accurate chart. Then I found several websites online. I didn’t want anything too complicated, just something that would give me the basics.
Digging In
I plugged in all my info, and boom! There it was, my birth chart. It’s a circle with a bunch of symbols and lines. I focused on the Sun, Moon, and Rising signs, since that’s what I was interested in today.
The website said my Sun is in Cancer. I read through the description, and some of it kind of resonated. Like, yeah, I can be a bit sensitive and I do love my home comforts. It talked about being nurturing and protective, and that’s pretty much me with my family and friends.
Moon and Rising
- Then I moved onto my Moon sign, which is Libra. This part talked about needing balance and harmony. I do hate conflict.
- Lastly, I checked out my Rising sign, also Libra. Apparently, this is how I appear to others, my first impression.
It mentioned things like being diplomatic and charming, and striving for fairness.
Making Sense of It
I spent a good chunk of time just reading through all the descriptions and trying to connect it to my own life. The Libra Moon and Rising, with that focus on balance and fairness, felt surprisingly accurate. I’m always trying to keep the peace and make sure everyone is happy.

Putting It All Together
I started to see how these three parts of my chart might interact. My Cancer Sun wants to create a safe and loving environment, while my Libra Moon and Rising want to make sure everything is fair and balanced within that environment. It’s like I’m a homebody who also needs to be a social butterfly, but in a very balanced way.
So, that was my day with astrology. I just wanted to share my little experiment. It’s not like I’m suddenly an expert, but it was definitely an interesting way to spend an afternoon and learn a little something new about myself.
