Okay, so I was working on this crossword puzzle the other day, you know, the kind you find in the Sunday paper? And I got totally stuck on this one clue: “constellation.” I stared at it, racked my brain, but nothing. Blank. So, I decided to get a little methodical about it.
First, I counted the empty squares. This is key, right? You gotta know how many letters you’re working with. It turned out to be a five-letter word. Five letters, huh? Okay, that narrowed it down, but not by much.
Next, I started brainstorming any constellations I could think of. You know, the usual suspects. Big Dipper…way too long. Orion…nope, too long again. I felt like I was getting nowhere.
My Little “Research” Session
- I grabbed my phone, you know, to do a little “research”. Gotta love the internet.
- I typed in “5 letter constellations” I’m pretty sure and you will never believe the result.
-
I scrolled through some of the suggestion, not gonna lie, most of them I’d never even heard of.
Then, bingo! Lyra. Five letters. Fits perfectly. I popped it into the puzzle, and yep, it worked with the crossing words too! I was so relieved. It’s funny how satisfying it is to finally crack a clue like that.

So yeah, that’s my little adventure with the “constellation” crossword clue. It’s the small victories, right? Now every time when I search the crossword clue, I can remember I have done it before!
