Okay, so I’ve been getting into some really old-school stuff lately, and I decided to try making my own divination bones. The title I picked for my little project log is “divination bones for sale,” even though I’m not actually selling them yet – maybe someday!
Getting Started
First, I needed some bones. I didn’t want to, you know, get them in any weird way, so I went to the butcher shop. I asked for some soup bones, and the guy looked at me a little funny, but whatever. I got a big bag of them, mostly beef, I think.
Cleaning the Bones
This was the grossest part. I boiled the bones for, like, hours. The smell was… something else. I added some baking soda to the water, which I read online helps get the gunk off. Then I scrubbed them with an old toothbrush. Seriously, it took forever to get all the meat and stuff off.
Whitening (and Toughening?) Them Up
After the scrubbing, they were still kinda yellowish. So, I soaked them in hydrogen peroxide. I used the regular stuff you get at the drugstore, not the super-strong kind. I left them in there for a couple of days, checking on them now and then. They got noticeably whiter, which was cool.
Drying and Decorating
Once they were nice and white, I laid them out on some paper towels to dry completely. This took another day or two. Then came the fun part – decorating! I decided to keep it simple. I used a fine-point permanent marker to draw some basic symbols on them. I looked up some traditional symbols online, but also made up a few of my own.
Giving them a “Test Run”
- I did not follow any formal.
- I just shook them in my hands and tossed them onto a cloth.
- I looked at how they landed and what symbols were facing up.
Honestly, it was pretty fun! And who knows, maybe there’s something to it. It’s definitely a cool conversation starter, at least.

If some friends are interest it,I would like to sale them to them.
