Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole divination thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started because, well, who isn’t curious about what the future might hold, right? I decided to dive deep into some divination books. I grabbed a bunch from different authors, I think I saw a list of like, 31 authors who had books on this stuff.
First off, I picked up this book called “Every Day Self-Reflection” with, get this, 365 prompts. I started flipping through it, thinking I could do one prompt each day. The prompts are pretty deep, you know, really makes you think about your life and choices. Tried to do it daily, but, you know how it is, sometimes I’d forget or just be too lazy.
Getting Into the Thick of It
Then there was this other one, “The Book of Runes,” 25th Anniversary Edition. It came with actual rune stones, which was pretty cool. I laid them out, followed the instructions in the book, and tried to interpret the meanings. Man, it felt like I was in some ancient ritual or something. It comes with rune stones, which you can buy from Amazon for 20 bucks. I paid 20 bucks for these rune stones!
- I also got this “Sacred Symbols Oracle Deck.”
- Found something called “The Hoodoo Bible The 7-In-1 Root,” which was a bit pricey at nearly 40 bucks.
- And for some reason, I ended up with an “I Ching Complete Divination Kit” for about 22 bucks.
I started experimenting with different types of divination, not just the books. Heard about pyromancy, which is divination by fire. So, I lit a candle, stared into the flame, and tried to see if I could get any insights. Didn’t really see anything, but it was a vibe, I guess.
Then there’s hydromancy, which is using water. I filled a bowl with water, looked at the reflections, and tried to find some signs. Again, nothing much, but it was kind of relaxing, staring at water like that.
Books and More Books
Cleromancy, which is divination by lots, was next. I used some dice for this. Rolled them a few times, wrote down the numbers, and tried to match them with meanings from a book. It felt a bit like a game, honestly.
Geomancy involves using objects on a map or figure. I drew a simple map, tossed some small stones onto it, and tried to interpret their positions. This one was kind of fun, actually. Felt like I was planning a strategy or something.
And then, of course, there’s bibliomancy, using books for divination. This one I liked because I love books. I would pick a book, any book, close my eyes, flip to a random page, point to a line, and try to find meaning in it. Sometimes it felt like the book was speaking directly to me, other times it was just nonsense.
Honestly, the whole experience has been a mixed bag. Some parts were fun and intriguing, others were just, meh. But hey, it’s been an interesting way to spend my time and think about things from a different perspective. I don’t know if I’m any closer to knowing the future, but I’ve definitely had a good time exploring these divination books and methods.
