Today I’m gonna talk about how I messed around with this thing called Divination Distillate in Path of Exile. This flask, man, it’s a trip. It’s a hybrid flask, so it’s supposed to do a bit of everything, right? Healing, mana regen, and some other weird stuff. First off, I noticed it’s called a “Large” flask, which got me thinking it’s gotta be pretty important if they’re emphasizing the size like that, you know?
So, I equipped this bad boy and started whacking monsters. The flask refills as you kill stuff, which is pretty neat. It uses up 20 out of 40 charges when you chug it, and you gotta be level 30 to even use it. That’s not too bad, figured it was worth trying out. Now, here’s where it got interesting. I was trying to figure out the best way to use this thing. I read somewhere that you need to keep your mana low or use some kind of mana draining mechanic to keep this flask active as much as possible. Sounded like a pain, but alright, I’m game.
I tried a bunch of stuff. I went and grabbed a mastery that lets you use the flask even when you’re at full life. Figured that would help. Then there’s this other thing called “Master Surgeon” that keeps the flask going for its full duration even if you hit full life after using it. That sounded pretty clutch, so I tried that out too. But keeping my mana low, man, that was a hassle. I tried using blood rage, which kind of worked I guess?

- Level Requirement: Gotta be at least level 30. No biggie.
- Charge Consumption: Uses 20 out of 40 charges. Not too bad.
- Refilling: Kills refill it. Pretty cool.
- Using at full life: Need a mastery.
- Maintain the flask’s effect: Need Master Surgeon.
And if you’re not into the whole mana draining thing, you can apparently combine it with this “Petrified Blood” thing, and it makes the healing part okay, I guess. Didn’t try it. Felt too complicated.
Honestly, in the end, I was just trying to get the most out of it, but I’m not sure if I cracked the code on this one. I guess it’s something you gotta experiment with to really understand. It’s one of those things in Path of Exile that seems simple but gets all complicated when you really dig into it.
