Today, I tried messing around with some divination symbols, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey. I’ve always been a bit curious about this stuff, you know, the idea of symbols holding some kind of deeper meaning or whatever.
So, I started by just looking up a bunch of different symbols. I mean, there’s a ton of them out there, right? Stuff from ancient Egypt, some modern ones, even symbols that you see used in like, curse words online, which is kind of funny. I found out those are called “grawlix.” Who knew? So, like, instead of writing out a bad word, people use these symbols like “@” or “#”. It’s like a secret code, but not really.
Then I got into this whole thing about how symbols are used in, like, fortune-telling and all that. I read that they’re supposed to be this “gateway to the unseen.” Sounds pretty intense, huh? I guess the idea is that these symbols can tell you stuff about the future or things you can’t normally see.
I tried to find some common ones, and one that popped up was this symbol from ancient Egypt. It’s supposed to represent eternal life. Now, I’m not really into all that ancient religion stuff, but it’s still kind of cool to think about people thousands of years ago using this symbol. Apparently, some folks today still use it in their practices, like, something called “Kemetism” and “neo-paganism.”
I also found this other one, the “Leviathan Cross”. It is sometimes called “Satan’s Cross”. It has an infinity sign (∞) at the bottom. It looks pretty neat, I guess.
- First, I just gathered a bunch of symbols, like I said.
- Then, I tried to, you know, “interpret” them.
- I looked up what they’re supposed to mean traditionally.
- Finally, I kind of just sat there and thought about what they might mean to me personally.
Honestly, I don’t know if I really “get” it. I mean, it’s interesting and all, but I’m not sure I believe that these symbols have some magical powers or anything. But it was a fun little experiment, and it definitely made me think a bit more about how people use symbols to understand the world around them. It’s kind of like how we use emojis today, but way more old-school and, I guess, spiritual.

Maybe I’ll try this again sometime. Maybe I will try tarot cards. Or maybe I’ll just stick to looking at them online. Who knows? It’s all a bit of a mystery, right?
My main takeaway
Symbols are everywhere, and they all mean something, whether it’s a deep spiritual thing or just a way to avoid writing out a bad word. It’s all about how we interpret them, I guess.
