Okay, folks, let’s dive into some constellation crafts! I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, and I finally got around to it. It’s super simple and looks pretty cool in the end.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed to gather my supplies. I went to the local craft store, browsed for a bit, and grabbed these things:
- Black construction paper (the thick kind)
- White chalk markers (I got a couple with different tip sizes)
- A ruler (because straight lines are important, you know?)
- Some glitter glue (because, why not? Everything’s better with glitter!)
- Some star stickers(feeling a bit lazy)
Planning the Constellations
Next, I had to figure out which constellations I wanted to do. I did some googling and looked at a few star charts.I decided to keep it simple and stick with some of the more recognizable ones, like the Big Dipper, Orion, and Cassiopeia. I am not really into those astronomy stuff, I just randomly picked some based on the pictures searched online.
Drawing the Stars and Lines
Now for the fun part! I laid out my black paper and started drawing. I used the white chalk markers to make dots for the stars. The different tip sizes really helped to make some stars look bigger and brighter than others. Then, I used the ruler to carefully connect the stars with straight lines, forming the constellations. I messed up a few times, but the chalk is pretty forgiving, so I just wiped it off and tried again. Instead of drawing, I found it was much easier to paste the star stickers!
Adding Some Sparkle
Once I had the basic constellations down, I decided to add some sparkle. I used the glitter glue to trace over some of the lines and add extra dots around the stars. It’s my favorite part! Made the whole thing look a bit more magical, you know? I think adding more will make it look better!
The Final Result
And that’s it! After letting the glitter glue dry (which took a bit of patience, I admit), I had my finished constellation crafts. They actually turned out pretty awesome! I’m thinking of framing them or maybe hanging them up in my room. They’d look pretty cool with the lights off, like a mini planetarium.

Overall, this was a super fun and easy project. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a simple craft activity. And hey, it’s a good time to get creative!
