Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “modern divination book” idea, and it’s been a wild ride. I started out super skeptical, thinking it was all going to be a bunch of hooey, you know?
Diving In
First, I just grabbed a notebook and a pen. Nothing fancy, just something to jot down my thoughts and, I guess, “divinations.” I figured I’d start with something simple, like asking about my day. I closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths (trying to channel my inner zen master, haha), and then just opened the book to a random page.
The page I landed on had this weird drawing of a, like, swirling vortex or something. Underneath, it said something vague about “embracing the unknown.” I rolled my eyes, honestly. But then, I decided to just go with it. I wrote down the phrase and the picture in my notebook.
The Weird Part
- So, throughout the day, I kept that “embracing the unknown” thing in the back of my mind.
- And get this – I actually ended up taking a different route to work, just on a whim.
- And on that new route, I ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in ages! We grabbed coffee, caught up, and it was awesome.
Okay, maybe that was just a coincidence. But it was a pretty cool coincidence. So I tried it again the next day.
Trying Again (and Again)
This time, I flipped to a page with a picture of a bunch of interlocking gears. The text talked about “connections” and “working together.” I scribbled it down, feeling a little less silly this time.
And wouldn’t you know it, I ended up having to collaborate with a coworker on a project I was originally supposed to do solo. At first, I was annoyed, but it actually turned out way better because we worked together. We bounced ideas off each other, and the final result was way stronger than anything I could have done alone.

My (Still Skeptical) Conclusion
Look, I’m still not 100% convinced this isn’t all just random chance. But it’s been a fun experiment. It’s kind of like a weird, interactive journal prompt generator. It gets me thinking about things differently, and maybe even pushes me to step outside my comfort zone a little.I think,It makes me to consider another direction to solve problems.
I’m going to keep playing around with it. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a full-blown believer. Or maybe I’ll just have a notebook full of random doodles and surprisingly relevant coincidences. Either way, it’s been entertaining!
