Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, more than just my daily horoscope, you know? And I stumbled upon this whole “Moon in Libra” thing for guys, and I was like, “Wait, I gotta try figuring this out.”
First, I needed some guinea pigs. I mean, I needed some willing participants. So, I started with the guys I know. I thought about my ex, my current boyfriend, a couple of close friends, and even my brother. I realized I had a pretty good mix of guys with potentially different moon signs.
Next, I needed to find their birth information. This was the tricky part. Obviously, I could just ask my boyfriend and my brother, but I didn’t want to outright ask my ex or my friends. It felt a bit too…intrusive? So, I got a little sneaky. I remembered celebrating my ex’s birthday, so I checked back on old Facebook posts to confirm the date. For the friends, I subtly brought up astrology in conversation, like, “Oh, I read that Scorpios are super intense, are you really like that?” Thankfully, they spilled the beans (their birth dates, I mean) without me having to pry too much.
Once I had the birth dates, I hit up this free online birth chart calculator. I just typed in their name, date of birth, and estimated time of birth (I mostly guessed the time, to be honest, based on what I knew about their personalities – morning person, night owl, etc.). The website then generated these charts, and I looked specifically for the moon sign.
The Analysis Begins
So, here’s what I found and what I did:
- My Boyfriend: Turns out, he IS a Moon in Libra! This kinda made sense. He’s always the peacemaker in our relationship, super charming, and hates conflict.
- My Ex: Moon in Scorpio. Oof. No wonder things were so intense and, well, dramatic.
- Friend 1: Moon in Sagittarius. He’s the adventurous, free-spirited one. Checks out.
- Friend 2: Moon in Capricorn. This guy is seriously driven and reserved. Yep.
- My Brother: Moon in Leo. He definitely loves attention and being the center of everything. Makes sense.
After I collected the moon signs I started noting down characteristics. I observed how these guys handled disagreements, expressed their emotions, and generally interacted with others. For my boyfriend (the Moon in Libra), I paid extra close attention. I actively watched for moments where he was trying to create balance, avoid arguments, and display that Libra charm.

Putting it All Together
I started a little journal to keep track of everything. I wrote down specific instances, like when my boyfriend mediated a small argument between my friends, or when he went out of his way to make sure everyone felt included at a party. I also compared his behavior to the “textbook” descriptions of Moon in Libra men, which I found on some astrology websites and in a couple of books I picked up. I found that he was really a classic case!
It wasn’t a perfect scientific experiment, of course. The birth times were probably off, and I’m definitely biased, especially when it comes to my boyfriend. But, it was surprisingly accurate. It really did seem like their moon signs reflected their emotional styles. I looked for recurring patterns and core emotional behaviors and recorded all of the data.
It’s been a fun little project. It’s given me a new lens for understanding the guys in my life, and it’s definitely made me more interested in astrology. I’m thinking of doing this with rising signs next… that might be even trickier!
