Okay, so I wanted to make a Pisces t-shirt, ’cause, you know, I’m a Pisces and proud. First, I brainstormed some ideas. I thought about what really represents Pisces. I jotted down words like “fish,” “water,” “dreamy,” and “intuitive.”
Design Time
Next, I started sketching. I’m no artist, but I can doodle a decent-looking fish. I tried a couple of different styles – a realistic-looking fish, a more cartoon-y one, and even a pair of fish swimming in a circle, like the Pisces symbol. I decided I like the two-fish thing best.
- I grabbed my iPad.
- I opened my favorite drawing app.
- I started playing around with the design, digital this time.
I added some wavy lines to represent water and played with colors. Blues and greens, obviously, but also some purples ’cause it felt kinda mystical, you know?
Getting it on a Shirt
Once I was happy with the design, I needed to get it onto a shirt.I found a website.
I uploaded my design, picked a plain white t-shirt , and positioned the design where I wanted it. Front and center, naturally.
Then I just hit the order button and waited! A week later, the shirt arrived, and it looked pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. It’s not perfect, but hey, I made it! Now I can wear my Pisces pride for everyone to see.
