Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a Pisces tattoo for a while now. I’m a Pisces, obviously, and I’ve always felt a strong connection to my sign. So, I finally decided to take the plunge and started looking into designs.
First, I googled a bunch of “Pisces tattoo male” images. Just to get a feel for what’s out there, you know? There’s a LOT. Some were super intricate, with detailed scales and flowing water. Others were more minimalist, just the Pisces symbol or a simple outline of two fish.
I saved a few that caught my eye. Mostly the ones that weren’t too over-the-top. I’m not really into huge, showy tattoos. I prefer something a bit more understated, something that feels personal.
My Design Ideas
- Two Fish: Classic, but I wanted to see if I could find a way to make it unique. Maybe have them swimming in a circle, or incorporating some other element that’s meaningful to me.
- Pisces Symbol: Super simple, but it’s recognizable. I could put it on my wrist or behind my ear. It also opens the way to do small adjustments.
- Constellation: I thought about getting the Pisces constellation tattooed. It’s a bit more subtle than the fish, and I like the idea of having the stars on my skin.
After browsing for a while, I started sketching out some of my own ideas. Nothing fancy, just rough outlines. I played around with different placements on my body, using a mirror to see how it would look. I mostly focused on my shoulder and upper arm, I want some space to show.
I also talked to a couple of friends who have tattoos. I asked them about their experiences, how they chose their designs, and if they had any recommendations for tattoo artists. It was good to get some firsthand perspectives.
Based on their advice and my own research, I narrowed down my choices to a few local tattoo shops.I checked their website protfolio, looking for artists whose style aligned with what I was envisioning. I wanted someone who was good at fine lines and detail, since I was leaning towards a more delicate design.

Finally, I booked a consultation with one of the artists. I brought my sketches and reference images, and we talked through my ideas. He gave me some feedback and suggestions, and we came up with a design that I’m really happy with.
I am going to get two fish forming a circle with negative space style. It blends with my skin so well.
I’ve got my appointment scheduled for next week. I’m a little nervous, but mostly excited. I’ll make sure to update you guys after I get it done!
