Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Pisces sweatshirt for a while, you know, to rep my star sign. I finally decided to just make one myself! Here’s how it went down.
Finding the Right Sweatshirt
First things first, I needed a blank sweatshirt. I didn’t want anything fancy, just a plain, comfy one. I headed to a local store and found a basic gray one that felt super soft. Perfect! I made sure to get one a little oversized because I like that cozy, slouchy look.
The Design Dilemma
Next up, the design. I spent a good chunk of time browsing online for inspiration. I knew I wanted something simple, not too flashy. I finally settled on a minimalist design with the Pisces symbol – those two little fish swimming in opposite directions. I also decided to add the word “Pisces” underneath in a cool, handwritten-style font.
Getting the Design On the Sweatshirt
Now, this is where it got a little tricky. I don’t have any fancy equipment, so I opted for the iron-on transfer paper method. I printed out my design onto the special paper, making sure to flip it horizontally (super important!). Then, I carefully positioned the design on the sweatshirt where I wanted it.
This part was a bit nerve-wracking. I followed the instructions on the transfer paper very carefully. I ironed over the design, applying firm pressure and making sure to get all the edges. I peeled off the backing paper slowly, holding my breath… and it worked! The design transferred onto the sweatshirt pretty well.
Final Touches and Oops!
It looked pretty good, but I noticed a tiny bit of the transfer paper outline was visible. Ugh. I tried to gently rub it off with a damp cloth, but that didn’t really do much. Oh well, it’s barely noticeable, and it kind of adds to the handmade charm, right?

Overall, I’m super happy with my DIY Pisces sweatshirt! It was a fun little project, and now I have a unique piece of clothing that represents me. It’s comfy, it’s personalized, and it was way cheaper than buying one online. Win-win-win!
