Okay, here’s my blog post about “scorpio year of the tiger”, written from a personal practice perspective, using simple language and basic HTML tags:
So, I got this idea to combine my zodiac sign, Scorpio, with the current Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Tiger. I thought it might be a cool concept for, like, a personal logo or something. Let’s see how it turns out.
Getting Started
First, I brainstormed a bit. What comes to mind when I think of “Scorpio” and “Tiger”?
- Scorpio: Intense, passionate, mysterious, powerful.
- Tiger: Brave, confident, strong, wild.
I want to reflect their features.
Doodling and Sketching
Then, I grabbed my notebook and started sketching. My skill is limited. I’m not very good at drawing, so I was just trying to get some basic shapes down.
I doodled a few scorpion tails, trying to make them look a bit more dynamic, like they were striking. Then I drew some tiger stripes, trying to figure out how to maybe combine them with the scorpion shape. It was messy, lots of crossed-out lines and scribbles. I am not a professional designer.

Digitalizing the Design(if you have the skill)
I decide to use the design tools.Opened up the design tool, and started playing around with creating a new file.
After many try,I use the pen tool draw a very simplified scorpion shape. I decided to make the body really simple, almost just a curved triangle, and then focus on a more detailed tail.
For the tiger stripes, I added those as separate elements, kind of radiating out from the scorpion. I played with the colors, making the scorpion a dark, deep red and the stripes a fiery orange. I just keep my design simple and clean.
The Result
Finally,I got my *’s not perfect, of course. I’m not a professional artist! But I think it captures the feel of both Scorpio and Tiger. It’s got that intense, powerful vibe, with a bit of wild energy. I’m pretty happy with it as a first attempt!
It was a fun little project! It’s always cool to take some random ideas and try to turn them into something visual. Maybe I’ll refine it later, or try a different style. Who knows!
