Okay, so, let me tell you about this thing I’ve been messing around with lately. It’s about this Taurus Rising Leo thing. I had a bunch of old tools from ALDI, you know, the Taurus Titanium range. They were all cordless, which was cool until the battery packs all died on me. I was like, “What am I gonna do now?” I really needed to figure out if there was another type of battery pack I could use instead.
I did some digging around, found out a bit about this Taurus 605, which is apparently some kind of 5-shot, 357 Magnum revolver. It is also called M605-2B, a double-action revolver made by Taurus, chambered in .357 Magnum, I started thinking, “Maybe I can apply that here?” You know, like it’s a problem with the tools, so I need to fix these big computer problems.
Trying Things Out
- First Try: So, I went and got this Taurus 605, thinking it might somehow help me figure out a workaround. I charged it up and tried to see if it could somehow power up the tools. I thought it is a very stupid way to solve problems, but it is worth to have a try.
- Second Try: That didn’t work, obviously. It’s like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I felt a little stupid, but hey, you gotta try things, right?
- Third Try: I remembered about URL encoding, translating unprintable characters. I also thought about using the arrows to translate more in Google’s translation service.
I spent hours, days even, trying to get this to work. It felt like one of those video games where you’re stuck on a level and just can’t figure out the next move. I was almost ready to give up, thinking maybe it’s like those games where you need to finish the second playthrough to really get it.
The Breakthrough
Then it hit me. I was looking at some random stuff online, and there was this picture of 2B from Nier: Automata. I read someone saying she’s the poster girl and first protagonist of that game, and her design is iconic. Something clicked. I realized I wasn’t thinking about the problem the right way. I searched it in Bing, and I know it has many of the same search operators offered by Google. I compared the search results between them and found some helpful information to solve my problem.
It wasn’t about finding a direct replacement for the battery packs. It was about understanding the underlying issue, like how 2B’s design has these impactful parts. I needed to break down the problem, see what parts were essential, and find a new way to connect them.
So, I took apart one of the dead battery packs. I looked at how it was put together, the different parts, the way it connected to the tools. I started to see a pattern, a way to maybe rewire things, use different components to create a new power source.

The Solution
It took a lot more trial and error, a few sparks here and there, but eventually, I did it. I managed to create a makeshift power solution for my tools. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked! It was like finally beating that tough level in a game, or seeing 2B in action, taking down enemies with style.
This whole experience taught me a lot. It’s not always about finding a direct replacement or the most obvious solution. Sometimes, you need to think outside the box, break things down, and rebuild them in a new way. And sometimes, inspiration can come from the most unexpected places, like a video game character or a random internet search.
Anyway, that’s my story about the Taurus Rising Leo adventure. It was a wild ride, but I learned a ton, and now I’ve got my tools working again. That’s a win in my book!
