So, I’ve been on the hunt for a new place in Madison, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I stumbled upon this place called “The Constellation,” and it sounded intriguing, so I decided to check it out.
First off, I went there in person. The location is pretty sweet, right downtown on 10 N Livingston St. You’re basically surrounded by everything – the Capitol, the lakes, all the cool stuff Madison has to offer. It’s buzzing with energy, which I dig.
The building itself is fairly new, built in 2013. It’s got this modern, urban vibe going on. They’ve got commercial space on the ground floor, and then apartments above. I walked around the building, taking it all in. The size seems pretty decent too, the building I saw was marked as being 1,182 sqft.
Then I went to see some of the model units. Man, those ceilings are high, like 10 feet! Makes the place feel super spacious. And the views? Don’t even get me started. You can see the Capitol building, the downtown skyline, and the lakes. It’s pretty breathtaking, not gonna lie.
The layouts are open and roomy, which is a big plus for me. I hate feeling cramped. Plus, they’ve got these modern finishes that give it a stylish feel. And, bonus, they’re pet-friendly! My furry friend would be welcome, which is a must.
- In-Unit Laundry: They have in-unit washers and dryers. Huge win.
- Variety of Sizes: They offer places from 428 sqft all the way up to 1250 sqft.
- Price: Seemed to range from about $1,212 to over $3,000 depending on the size and floor.
I spent a good chunk of time just soaking up the atmosphere, imagining myself living there. It’s definitely got that “cool, urban living” thing down pat. I could picture myself grabbing coffee at a nearby cafe, walking to the farmers market, and enjoying the nightlife. It all seems so convenient and exciting.

I’m still exploring other options, but The Constellation is high on my list. It checks a lot of boxes. If you’re looking for a place in Madison, you might want to put this one on your radar. You won’t regret scoping it out.
It was a good day of exploring, and I’m one step closer to finding my new home. The hunt continues, but The Constellation has set the bar pretty high.
