This thing, what they call true node Gemini, I heard some folks talking ’bout it the other day. Sounds like a whole lot of hocus pocus to me. But, you know, young people these days, they into all sorts of things. They say it’s about stars and planets and all that stuff up there. I don’t know nothin’ about stars, ‘cept they pretty to look at.
They say this Gemini thing, it’s about talkin’. Talk, talk, talk. Like them folks who never hush their mouths. Always yapping about something or other. These Gemini folks, they say they like to talk and tell stories and all that. Reminds me of old Betsy down the road, that woman could talk the ears off a mule. Maybe she’s one of them Geminis, who knows?
And this “North Node,” they call it the “True Node” too. Sounds important, I reckon. Like it’s the real deal. They say it’s about your past, where you been, what you done. Like your whole life story wrapped up in that one little word. I guess we all got a story, don’t we? Some good, some bad. Just like my old man, bless his soul, he had some stories, let me tell you. Wild stories. Maybe his True Node was somethin’ else, not this Gemini thing.

Now this thing about knowin’ things, that’s what they say this True Node Gemini is all about. Knowing things, understanding things. Like them smarty pants in the city with their fancy books. Me, I just know what I know. I know how to grow taters, how to mend a fence, how to make a good stew. Don’t need no stars to tell me that. This True Node, they say it is about where you need to go.
They say if your North Node is in this Gemini thing, then you supposed to talk more, learn more, be more, well, like them Geminis, I guess. It’s your destiny. Now, destiny, that’s a big word. Sounds like somethin’ out of one of them romance books. I always liked a good romance story. But destiny? I don’t know. Seems to me like you make your own way in this world. Ain’t no star gonna tell you what to do. You need to talk to people, to learn new things.
This whole thing, it’s like a puzzle, ain’t it? Pieces here, pieces there. You gotta fit ’em together to see the whole picture. This True Node Gemini, it’s just one piece of the puzzle, I reckon. There’s a whole lot more to life than just one piece. You got your family, your friends, your work. You got the good times and the bad times. It all adds up. You need to know things, to understand things, that’s what they say.
And these “houses,” they talk about houses too. Like the third house or something. Sounds like a game of cards to me. Third house, what’s that mean? Is it like a full house? Or a royal flush? I used to play cards with my cousins on Saturday nights. We’d play ’til the rooster crowed. Good times. Maybe this third house is a good thing, like winning a big pot.

Well, I learned a thing or two in my life, let me tell you. Didn’t learn it from no stars, though. Learned it from living. From getting my hands dirty. From watching the seasons change. And travel, they say this third house is about travel too. Short trips, they call it. Like going into town to get supplies. I ain’t been on a long trip in years. Not since me and my old man went to see the ocean. That was something, let me tell you. Vast and blue. Bigger than anything you ever seen. Maybe that’s what this True Node Gemini is about. Seeing things bigger than yourself. This True Node Gemini is not easy to understand.
True Node Gemini, North Node, third house. It’s all a bit much for an old woman like me. But I guess it’s interesting to think about. Maybe there’s something to it. Maybe the stars do have something to say. Or maybe it’s just a bunch of hooey. Who knows? Only thing I know for sure is that the sun’s gonna come up tomorrow, and the rooster’s gonna crow, and I got work to do. That’s my destiny, I reckon. And that’s good enough for me.
This karmic energy, they say it is from your past lives. I don’t know about that. Sounds spooky. Like ghosts and such. I seen some things in my life, things I can’t explain. Maybe that’s what they mean. Or maybe it is about your family. They are important.
This North Node in Gemini, it is about being objective, they say. And about lively communication. Like being a chatterbox. But also about being subjective. Like having your own ideas. It is all mixed up. Like a big stew with everything thrown in. You need to be objective and subjective, they say. That is a lot.
