Alright, let’s talk about this… this “Uranus in Libra” thing. Don’t ask me what all them fancy words mean, I just heard folks talking. Sounds like somethin’ happened way back when, in them 1968 to 1975 years. Folks sayin’ it shook things up, like a hen in a rooster coop.
Now, they tell me Uranus is this planet, a big ol’ thing in the sky. And Libra, well, that’s somethin’ else, like a sign or somethin’. When these two got together, they say it made folks want to change things. Change, change, change! That’s all they could talk about, it seems.
- First thing, they say it was about fairness. You know, like makin’ sure everyone gets a fair shake. Like when you sharin’ a pie, everyone gets a piece, big or small, gotta be fair. That’s what they called “social justice”, somethin’ like that.
- Then there was this talk about gettin’ along with folks from other places. “Diplomacy,” they called it. Fancy word for just bein’ nice and tryin’ to work things out, like when your neighbor’s cow gets into your garden, you don’t shoot it, you talk it over.
- And the music! Oh, the music changed too. Not like my old hymns, no sir. It got all… different. More… lively, I guess. And the art too, the pictures and all, they got a new look to ‘em.
This Uranus fella, he’s a bit of a troublemaker, from what I hear. Likes to stir things up. Wants everyone to be free and do their own thing. Don’t like nobody tellin’ him what to do. Sounds like my grandson, always wanting to do things his own way. He says it’s about “independence,” but to me it just looks like plain stubbornness.
But Libra, she’s different. She likes things nice and balanced. Like a good scale, you know? Everything even-steven. She wants everyone to get along, no fightin’ or fussin’. She’s all about bein’ pretty and pleasant, like a flower garden. My grandma always said, “pretty is as pretty does”. So, you got this troublemaker Uranus and this peace-lovin’ Libra, and they’re doin’ a dance together. It’s like mixing fire and water, makes for some interesting times, that’s for sure.
This whole Uranus in Libra thing, it made folks question the old ways. The way things always been done. They wanted new ideas, new ways of doin’ things. Like my daughter, she wanted to wear pants instead of dresses, can you imagine? Said it was more practical. Well, maybe she was right, I don’t know. But back then, it was a big deal.
They talk about “revolution” and “shock.” Sounds scary, don’t it? But I guess it just means things changed real fast. Like when the storm comes and knocks down the old barn, you gotta build a new one. Sometimes change is good, even if it’s scary at first.

This Libra, she’s ruled by this Venus, somethin’ they call a “planet of love and beauty.” Well, that explains why she likes things nice and pretty. And Libra folks, they’re supposed to be charming and fair-minded. Always tryin’ to see both sides of things. Like when two kids are fightin’ over a toy, Libra would try to find a way for them to share it. Or maybe find another toy, so they both got somethin’ to play with.
So, when Uranus came along and shook things up, Libra tried to keep things balanced. Tried to make sure the changes were for the good, not just for the sake of changin’. It’s like when you’re churnin’ butter, you gotta keep stirrin’ it just right, or it won’t turn out good. Same with life, I guess. You need a little bit of change, but you also need a little bit of stability. Too much of either one, and you’re in trouble.
Anyway, that’s what I heard about this Uranus in Libra. A time of change, a time of new ideas, and a time of tryin’ to find balance in a world that’s always shiftin’. Like tryin’ to walk a tightrope, you gotta keep your eyes forward and your feet steady, or you’ll fall right off.
Just remember, change ain’t always bad, but you gotta keep your head on straight and your feet on solid ground. And always, always be fair, that’s what I say. Fair is fair, and that’s the truth.
