Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something called “virgo rising houses.” I’d heard a little bit about it before, and it sounded pretty interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, I didn’t really know what I was doing at first.
First, I grabbed my birth chart. I had to figure out what time I was born, which, you know, involved calling my mom. After a bit of back and forth we established the correct time. Then I went to one of those free birth chart websites, plugged in all my info and got my chart. I made sure I got the time and location right, because apparently that stuff really matters.
Next, I started to learn how to identify my rising sign and it turned out to be Virgo, which was cool. It took me a while to find it on the chart, to be honest. It’s that little “Vir” symbol on the left, right on the line that says “1st House.”
Then came the tricky part – figuring out the houses. I learned that each house represents a different area of life, like career, relationships, and all that. Since I’m a Virgo rising, my first house is ruled by Virgo. I read a bunch of stuff online, and basically, it said that the sign on each house cusp tells you something about how you approach that area of life.
- Found my second house cusp in Libra. I wrote down some notes about what that might mean for my finances and values. Apparently, it’s all about balance and partnerships when it comes to money.
- Checked my third house, which is in Scorpio. That’s supposed to be about communication and learning. Scorpio’s intense, so maybe that means I like deep conversations? I jotted that down.
- Moved on to my fourth house in Sagittarius. Home and family stuff. Sagittarius is all about freedom and expansion, so maybe I like a spacious home or a lot of travel related to family? Noted.
- Examined my fifth house, which is in Capricorn. That’s about creativity and romance. Capricorn is pretty serious, so maybe I take my hobbies seriously or look for stability in relationships? Added that to my notes.
- Looked at my sixth house in Aquarius. That’s about daily routines and health. Aquarius is innovative, so maybe I like unique workout routines or have an unconventional approach to work? Wrote it down.
- Studied my seventh house in Pisces. That’s the house of partnerships. Pisces is dreamy and compassionate, so maybe I look for those qualities in a partner? Makes sense.
- Investigated my eighth house, which is in Aries. That’s about shared resources and transformation. Aries is bold, so maybe I’m not afraid to tackle those deep, intense topics? Interesting.
- Explored my ninth house in Taurus. That’s about higher learning and philosophy. Taurus is grounded, so maybe I prefer practical knowledge or have a strong set of beliefs? Noted.
- Discovered my tenth house in Gemini. That’s the house of career and public image. Gemini is adaptable and communicative, so maybe I’m drawn to careers that involve those skills? Cool.
- Analyzed my eleventh house in Cancer. That’s about friendships and community. Cancer is nurturing, so maybe I’m the “mom friend” of the group? Definitely possible.
- Finally, I checked out my twelfth house, which is in Leo. That’s about the subconscious and hidden things. Leo is confident, so maybe I have a strong inner self or hidden talents? Food for thought.
After I went through all the houses, I sat back and thought about what it all meant. It was actually pretty insightful! It gave me some new perspectives on different areas of my life and how I tend to approach things.
Honestly, it was a lot more involved than I expected. It wasn’t just a quick little thing. I actually spent a good chunk of time on it. But, it was worth it! I feel like I understand myself a little bit better now. I’m going to keep thinking about this stuff and see how it applies to my life. Maybe I’ll even do my friends’ charts sometime! It was a fun little project, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something to do on a weekend!
