Okay, so I’ve been on this whole astrology kick lately, right? And it got me thinking about birthstones. Specifically, what’s up with Aries and their birthstone? Like, what color is it even supposed to be?
So, I hit up the internet, you know, like you do. And man, it’s a bit of a rabbit hole. Turns out, the “official” birthstone for Aries is the diamond. Yeah, the sparkly, super expensive rock. Apparently, it comes in all sorts of colors, like clear, blue, yellow, and even pink. Fancy, huh?
But then I dug a little deeper. I found out that in ancient Greece, they called diamonds “adamas.” Cool name, right?
- I also saw some stuff about another stone called bloodstone.
- It is said that this one’s all about boosting your energy and courage, which, I guess, makes sense for fiery Aries.
I kept going, and the list just kept growing! Diamonds and rubies seem to be the big ones for Aries, but then there’s also quartz, amethyst, jasper, carnelian, hematite, bloodstone, and even aquamarine! Like, make up your mind, universe!
What About Colors?
Now, about the colors. Most of what I read said that white or clear is the main color for Aries birthstones because, you know, diamonds. But then some sources threw light blue into the mix because of aquamarine. And, of course, since Aries is a fire sign ruled by Mars, red also makes an appearance.
It seems like there are also stones that are considered extra lucky for Aries, like citrine and peridot. Supposedly, they balance out the Aries personality and bring in good luck and abundance. Not a bad deal, I guess.

There is also a warning
But, here’s the kicker: I found some warnings too! Some sources say Aries should be careful with crystals linked to Saturn or Venus, like moldavite or black obsidian. Who knew, right?
So, yeah, that’s what I found out about Aries birthstones. It’s a lot more complicated than I thought! But hey, at least now I know there are tons of options if I ever want to get myself a little Aries-themed bling. Or, you know, just wear something that matches my fiery personality, haha.
